i had the most awesome christmas this year. christmas eve was spent with my dad's side of the family. we got there early and helped set up. had a couple of beers so i was nice and relaxed before dinner and all the family arrived! i think that's the key to the surviving the holidays! get a buzz. :-P there was some sort of miscommunication as to when dinner actually was and who was arriving when. so instead of eating at 2 was started about 4:30. lot's of food as always and quite tasty. after dinner we opened presents. lots of noise and chaos with paper wrapping and sounds of excited where to be heard. i was excited my cousin loved the things i got her and i loved what she got me! we went to church and listened to my dad's duet at the late service. the minister told a christmas story that wasn't about the birth of jesus it was some radio show that had been done in the 1930's or 40's. then we came back to my parents house. D and I played two rounds of go fish and i won both times! D accused me of cheating but i really didn't. :-P fo' reals guys. christmas morning we had to get up early because we were picking up my grandma's sister and her husband before we went to her house. we opened presents here. you guys! i got a nintento ds lite from D!!! I totally wasn't expecting THAT! and the new frogger game. i got lots of things from my parents that my mom had been making me pick out through out the year. i got a cooking ware set from my grandma that i also picked out. she wanted me to get some new celphalon brand that's on all the cooking shows but... it's really heavy and two i didn't want her to spend that much! so i picked out another good brand and went with that. i hung out and watched tv and played the ds while my mom and dad took my great aunt and uncle home and my grams went along for the ride. we stayed a while longer to visit. my grams is so depressed around the holidays and in general since my grandpa died. she just doesn't think anything worth it any longer now that he's gone. came home and we were sooooooo tired but i forget what i did. read a book i think. well thats the long story short of my holiday. now we're getting ready for more snow. hopefully not too much. :-( but i'm not going to hold my breath.
